tell me who your friends are and i'll tell you who you are
They say that to accomplish something, you gotta say it loud and write it down. I don't know how many times I've set the goal of entering more posts here, said it loud and wrote it down and look where it got me.
It's funny. One would think that the more interesting things happen in my life, the more posts I would put in here. But it seems that the more things happen, the less time I have for blogging. Okay... the less time I MAKE for blogging.
There's plenty to speak of. For instance, the controversial move I made from CRN (Haymarket Media) to the direct competitor ARN (IDG Communications) in November and the reasons behind it. Then there's the move from one flat to another two months before. Edwin's move from one job to another and then back then to another. The economic turmoil that had everyone using buzzwords like credit crunch, recession, redundancy, bankruptcy, stock exchange. Then of course the remarkable US elections producing the first ever black American to be elected President. I might add the incident of an Iraqi reporter throwing his shoe at President George Bush.
But the things I missed writing about are the numerous quips from my darling Cerise. The most recent one was when we were talking about awards and medals (she is an expert in racing games on Wii) and how they come in bronze, silver and gold. She asked...
CERISE: Mummy, is there anything better than Gold?
MUM: Uhm. No. Gold would be it. No. Actually there is something.
CERISE: No, there isn't.
MUM: Yes. Platinum. Platinum is better than Gold.
CERISE: No. Friendship is!
MUM: Huh? What do you mean?
CERISE: Friendship is worth more than gold!
I laughed... and agreed.
There's an inspiring Christmas message for all.
