On this day:

random thoiughts in the middle of the night

I only have an hour before my battery dies so quick, type away!

I should be sleeping now really. I'm not well after yet another business trip interstate. I got this cold thing back again which freaked me out when I first got it while in Melbourne during which time the swine flu broke out and Melbourne was the worst hit. I actually had myself checked for swine flu when I couldn't shake off my paranoia. Two weeks later, I travelled to Perth but no health dramas there. Two weeks later, I welcomed the warm weather in Brisbane but brought back with me this cold. I've gargled Aspro Clear for my throat; I've taken Dimetapp for my sinus and used two nasal sprays plus my pump for my allergy. So I should tuck myself in bed now. But like most nights, I decide I shouldn't sleep before midnight. No reason except that I just feel I could be doing something more important and pressing than sleeping. The intention of doing something pressing is always there but then after I finish my usual consumption of news, checking the weather and checking my work inbox, the pressing matter comes to mind but my fingers find their way to facebook for a look. And tonight, I decided to write a long email to good friend Pia who I'm missing right now. Her status gave me the impression things are getting better at home. I pressed the 'send' button then got the error page! Facebook is fixing the problem right now. Duh! Can it rewrite my email to Pia and send it to her?! At least, Facebook said it was sorry.

Still, I'm grumpy. So I turn to my blog for comfort. I read my old posts and I'm reminded of why I started blogging in the first place... to never forget the simple joys of life I hold dear to my heart - funny anecdotes of my growing Cerise.

She's right beside me. Sleeping. Probably dreaming although she insists she never dreams. Perhaps she doesn't know what dreams are so I tell her they're like pictures she sees while she's asleep. No pictures she said. Is it possible that someone never dreams ever?

So Michael Jackson is dead. It's caused social networking sites and Google to crash. I bet TV's sunday night programs will be all about tributes to the Man in the Mirror. I bet I will be watching. I am a girl from the 80's after all. Sadly, I will never have the chance to watch him perform live. On that note, maybe I should get myself a ticket to Madonna's concert. Just in case.
