Politics. One of two things you should never talk about with other people. The other is religion.

JETHRO: Do you know Jesus, Cerise?

CERISE: (cheerfully) Yes. Jesus is alive.

JETHRO: (grief-stricken) No. He's dead. He died. My mum told me.

CERISE: (adamantly) No. He's alive. Isn't He, mummy?

ME: (diplomatically) Well, Jesus died but he woke up again so He is alive now.

CERISE: (to Jethro) See!

JETHRO: (teasing) But you can't see Him.

CERISE: (defensively) He's all the way up in the sky, that's why.

JETHRO: (matter-of-factly) No. He's at the bottom but you can't touch Him because He is invisible. He's the Invisible Man. (you must understand that Jethro is a huge fan of super heroes)
